Last updated: February 23, 2026
Welcome to PureLung. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you
use our mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
When you use our App, we may collect the following types of information:
- Health and Fitness Data (Apple HealthKit): PureLung integrates with Appleās HealthKit
framework to provide comprehensive insights, such as heart rate changes and breathing capacity, related to
your smoke-free journey. You have full control over what data is read from or written to HealthKit directly
through the Apple Health app settings. We do not use this data for marketing or advertising purposes.
- App Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data about your interactions with the app, such as
session durations and feature engagement, to improve our services and user experience.
- Crash Data: In the event of an app crash, anonymous diagnostic reports may be collected to
help us identify and fix technical issues.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App's core functionality (e.g., tracking smoke-free days, calculating
money saved, and displaying health milestones).
- To synchronize and process HealthKit data securely on your device, enhancing the personal accuracy of your
health improvement timelines.
- To communicate with you, including responding to support inquiries and sending essential app updates.
- To analyze app performance and fix bugs.
3. HealthKit Data Privacy
Because PureLung handles sensitive health data through Apple HealthKit, we adhere to strict guidelines:
- Data Security: HealthKit data is processed locally on your device or securely synced via
your iCloud account. We do not store your HealthKit data on external servers.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We will never sell, lease, or rent your HealthKit data to third
parties. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining.
- Consent: Reading and writing data to Apple Health requires your explicit authorization. You
can revoke this access at any time through the iOS Settings or the Apple Health app.
4. Third-Party Services
The App may utilize third-party services (such as analytics or crash reporting tools) that may collect
information used to identify you. These third-party service providers have their own Privacy Policies addressing
how they use such information.
5. Security of Your Data
The security of your data is important to us. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your
personal information, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic
storage is 100% secure.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy
Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
7. Contact Us
If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at either our
app's support section or via the App Store contact details.
